Please contact us so that we can look up your specific vehicle to verify whether your model has a transponder or not.
We can make keys for most vehicles from their VIN number.
We must verify that you are the owner of the vehicle:
Nearly every modern vehicle has a transponder system. The keys have a tiny chip inside them which has a unique electronic number. The computer in the car reads that number and they have to match in order for the vehicle to start.
To make a new original key we have to connect a special programmer to the car to teach it about the new key's code.
We'll need to come out to your location to program the key in and you'll want to plan for about an hour to get it all done.
Many vehicles made before 2000 (and some after) did not use a transponder, or the transponder system may have been optional.
We don't need to come out to you to make keys for the vehicle.
It should take less than an hour for us to make an original key.
